EUROCASTANEA - our aim is to develop the relations of the European chestnut network
Eurocastanea is an association under the law of 1901 founded in 2023. This is the result of the relationships maintained since 2010 by these founding members:

Its role is to represent, defend and promote the European chestnut industry. It is a place of exchange for all the actors from the multitude of chestnut growing territories, rich in their history, their know-how and their advances.
Our challenges are technical, economic and social if we want the chestnut production to sustain our regions for a long time to come.
Main Activities
THE EUROPEAN CHESTNUT CONGRESS, AN ANNUAL EVENT Every year, the European Chestnut Days are organised by a chestnut-producing country. This congress is the unmissable event for the sector!
DEFENDING AND PROMOTING THE SECTOR Communication at all levels is essential because the future of the sector lies in part in the rejuvenation of producers and consumers.
A PLACE OF EXCHANGE AND COLLECTIVE WORK
Faced with the environmental and economic challenges of the sector, we are building work programmes with the help of all stakeholders in order to mobilise European funds together and create more synergies
DATA COLLECTION AND SYNTHESIS Data on European production are collected and summarised in the periodic Chestnut White Book.
